Abstract
A benefit map, a key feature in benefit realization management, is a tool that helps with the identification of benefits and their criteria in relation to specific organizational goals or objectives. [1]
When there is a potential project or program to be undertaken in an organization, an important question is why it should be implemented. By conducting a benefit map the end document will results in a visual diagram that shows directly what the project or program will contribute and if it is worth the effort. When benefit mapping is carried out, it should be done in a group and with key stakeholders. The chosen stakeholders ought to either have the ability to make impact or have high chance to be impacted by the project. From this the stakeholders get a better overall idea of what the targeted goals are and how they will be reached. [2]
