Project Communications Management is a collection of processes required to meet the information needs of a project and its stakeholders. The first part of Project Communications Management focuses on forming a strategy to assure efficient communication between the Project Team and the stakeholders. The second part focuses on executing the needed activities to fulfill the communication strategy.

Project Communications Management includes three processes:

* '''Plan Communications Management''' – The process of establishing a proper plan for project communication activities depending on the needs of the project and its stakeholders and the available organizational resources.

* '''Manage Communications''' – The process of securing suitable and appropriate gathering, formation, distribution, storage, control, retrieval, monitoring, and disposal of project information.

* '''Monitor Communications''' – The process of assuring that the information needs of the project and its stakeholders are fulfilled.
