Lean Tools in Project Management
From apppm
Lean is a continuous improvement mythology which was introduced in the late 40’s by the automotive company, Toyota. Lean is all about eliminating waste and maximizes value. Waste is described in 7(8) different ways and will be described more detailed in the article. The connection between lean/lean management and project management is simply the same as mentioned above, eliminating waste in projects. Some lean principles/methodologies are directly related or more applicable to project management. Such as: Gemba Walk, Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen.
