Abstract

Stakeholder is a group, corporate, organization, member, or system that affects or can be affected by an organization's actions. Project stakeholder is a person, group, or organization with an interest in a project. [1] Stakeholder analysis is an essential part of project management. Stakeholder engagement can achieve mutual understanding and trust between the organization and the stakeholders in order to achieve a comfortable relationship of coexistence and mutual success. [2]
Identifying and categorizing stakeholder can help project managers to identify and contact people who associated with the project more efficiently. But engaging stakeholders in a project is also a difficult process about defining the scope and workload.
This article aims to provide you with the brief definition of the word ‘stakeholder’, the purpose of identification and categorization of stakeholders, how to analyze and optimize the progress of project management by scientific tools, and the limitations of it.
