This article provides a comprehensive overview of the diferences between teams and groups. Teams and groups are two common forms of social organizations which are found in personal and professional settings. They may appear similar at first, but there are several key differences that distinguish teams from groups. These differences include structure, interdependence, communication, decision-making, and performance. This article explores each of these dimensions in detail, and it gives an overview about the psychologic, sociologic, and organizational aspects of teams/groups. By understanding the key differences between teams and groups, organizations and individuals can make informed decisions about which form of social organization is best suited for their specific needs. Further this article dives into some models about key factors for successful, including the five level model by hackman and the IPO-model.
