Abstract

DISC profile analysis is a tool for evaluating behaviour often used ineternally in an organisation by managers to improve group dynamics but also the well beeing of the individual.

The letters DISC stems from the words: dominance, influence, stability, competence. The tool assesses to what extent the individuel possesses each of those referencing the norm.


History

William Moulton Marston

Teorien bag er grundlagt af psykolog og professor William Moulton Marston. DISK-personfaktormodellen (engelsk: Personality Factor Model (DISC)) er en senere udgave af dette værktøj (3. generation), der er beskrevet og udviklet af professor John G. Geier i 1958 på baggrund af Marstons teorier fra 1928.
