Project Communications Management is a collection of processes required to meet the information needs of a project and its stakeholders. The first part of Project Communications Management focuses on forming a strategy to assure efficient communication between the Project Team and the stakeholders. Project Communications Management includes three processes:

  • Plan Communications Management – The process of establishing a proper plan for project communication activities depending on the needs of the project and its stakeholders, and the available organizational resources.
  • Manage Communications – The process of securing suitable and appropriate gathering, formation, distribution, storage, control, retrieval, monitoring, and disposal of project information.
  • Monitor Communications – The process of assuring that the information needs of the project and its stakeholders are satisfied.
