Abstract

One of the most important thing in project execution is decision-making. The process focuses on the goals to pursue and relies on data. In project management decision-making is crucial in order to achieve best possible solutions. Therefor mangers often implement decision making skills to optimize the outcome of projects within the available resources at their possession. Some decisions are relatively unimportant; while others are crucial and will therefor define the outcome of projects. Most people consider themselves competent decision makers based on a history of making reasonable decisions in past projects. But Recent neurological research studies have indicated though that the human brain is not usually logical; in fact, most decisions are taken emotionally and are only later justified if questioned by the rational portion of the brain. Once a person has decided, the person searches for data to support the taken decision rather than the other way around.
