Scrum vs. Waterfall Methodology

Abstract

In this article, the agile and waterfall methodologies will be described with a highlight on the Scrum methodology in particular. The theory and the application areas of these methods will be showed. Comparing the two methodologies the main advantages and disadvantages, the limitations and the practical usability of the methods will be elaborated on with a critical reflection to both methods.
