Digitalization is the future! This applies to all industries. The construction industry had already tasted this well in the past 10 years. Different tools and methods is developed. In this article, the benefits of digitalization are discussed.

By digitalizing the construction industry time, cost and lifecycle related benefits is earned. When digitalize models both time and cost is reduced. Every stored information in a model will be easy accessible during the project and even years after finishing the project. All models can easily be shared with in the project team or to project stakeholders. When renovating existing old buildings no information about materials is available.

Limitations
Digitalization is a huge radical change and it will take time. Some people are so familiar with their current working methods, had been working with them for ages and suddenly to change them and learn them new digitalized methods will be a big challenge.
Some firms with an elder aged management would probably refuse to be digitalized and their collaborations with other companies will be affected.
